The Meridian Cares Team is working closely with the Meridian Township Community Resources Commission (CRC) to generate funds through raffle ticket sales. The Township aims to raise $10,000 by December 16th to help replenish the fund. Census, about 13 percent or 5,000 people in Meridian Township live below the poverty level and almost 3,000 people live below 50 percent of the poverty level. The Meridian Cares Team is organizing its second “Meridian Cares Emergency Needs Fundraiser” for residents in the Township who are in need of assistance this holiday season.
